Our carefully machined British Larch Half Lap External Cladding is the perfect choice for a clean, linear appearance, impeccable weather protection, and a cost-effective alternative to oak cladding. Unlike the distinctive lines of a shiplap profile, this half-lap profile offers a smoother finish with a slimmer shadow gap, making it ideal for contemporary builds and extensions.
British Larch is incredibly strong and hard-wearing, with a high resin content that makes it twice as durable as common pine. This timber also has striking color variations and will have natural characteristics like dark knots and occasional resin patches, adding to its unique charm.
This machined cladding is recommended for external use only. To minimize the risk of cupping, warping, and splitting, we advise fitting your boards between October and April, and within 7 to 14 days of delivery.
The boards are supplied untreated, as no treatment is required. You have the option to either leave the timber to age gracefully to a beautiful silvery-grey or apply a weather-resistant sealant from our Treatex range to preserve its original color.

End-Matching (Tongue and Groove) will allow you to place joints where they fall, instead of on the stud, allowing you to finish the job more quickly without sacrificing on quality and helps minimise wastage.
This profile is priced per square metre and comes in random lengths between 1200mm and 3600mm unless otherwise specified for an additional charge:
This can be done by adding the Set lengths (Cladding) product to your basket (1 quantity = 1 square meter of cladding). You will need the same amount of cladding and set lengths in your basket to get the set lengths that you need so make sure to double check you have added the correct quantity.
