Our precisely machined Air Dried Oak Shiplap External Cladding is the perfect choice for a clean, sophisticated finish and excellent weather protection. When fitted horizontally, the shiplap profile creates visually pleasing shadow lines that accentuate the length of your building for a smart, uniform look.
Air-dried for 3-5 years to a stable 20-30% moisture content, this cladding is more stable and less prone to shrinkage than fresh-sawn timber.
The boards used for this cladding are full of character, featuring occasional sap on the underside, sound knots, and historic insect damage. For a cleaner, more contemporary look with a straight grain and no knots, we recommend exploring our first-grade offerings.
As a natural timber, some colour variation and movement are to be expected as the boards adjust to the seasons. These unique characteristics are what give oak its beautiful, distinctive appearance.
The boards are supplied untreated, and no additional treatments are required. You can choose to either let the wood age gracefully to a beautiful silvery-grey or apply a weather-resistant sealant from our Treatex range to preserve its original colour.
This cladding is recommended for external use only. If exposed to varying weather conditions before fitting your boards, they are likely to cup, warp and split; the ideal time to fit cladding to keep this to a minimum is between the months of October and April and within 7 to 14 days of delivery.

This profile is priced per square metre and comes in random lengths between 1200mm and 3600mm unless otherwise specified for an additional charge:
This can be done by adding the 'Set lengths (Cladding)' product to your basket (1 quantity = 1 square meter of cladding). You will need the same amount of cladding and set lengths in your basket to get the set lengths that you need so make sure to double check you have added the correct quantity.
Please contact our Sales Team on 01536 267 107 should you have any issues.
Still unsure? We offer up to two samples of our cladding boards for a £5 inc VAT postage charge. Should you wish to then purchase cladding boards that are the same product as your samples, we will reimburse you the £5 postage charge upon ordering!*
