Our precisely machined British Larch/Douglas Fir Internal Shiplap Cladding is perfect for a truly unique finish, with striking colour variations from pinks and browns to creams. When installed horizontally, the shiplap profile’s pleasing shadow lines create a clean linear appearance that will accentuate the length of your wall.
British Larch/Douglas Fir is an incredibly strong and hard-wearing wood. With its super-high resin content, it can prove to be twice as durable as common pine, making it a reliable and long-lasting species. You may notice some dark brown knots that can loosen as the wood dries, occasionally causing resin patches, which are part of its natural character.
Your boards will be supplied untreated. No treatments are required, however if you wish to preserve the supplied colour a little longer or use a weather resistant sealant, please take a look at our Treatex range. If left untreated, it will eventually fade into a beautiful silvery grey as nature does its work. Dark brown knots may loosen as the wood dries, occasionally resulting in resin patches that may ooze a little at first and sometimes during subsequent hot summers.
Recommended for external use only, if exposed to varying weather conditions before fitting your boards, they are likely to cup, warp and split; the ideal time to fit cladding to keep this to a minimum is between the months of October and April and within 7 to 14 days of delivery.

End-Matching (Tongue and Groove) will allow you to place joints where they fall, instead of on the stud, allowing you to finish the job more quickly without sacrificing on quality and helps minimise wastage.
