Description

Our precisely machined British Larch Shiplap Cladding features striking colour variations, from pinks and browns to creams, providing a truly unique finish and first-rate protection from the elements. When installed horizontally, the shiplap profile’s pleasing shadow lines create a clean, linear appearance that accentuates the length of your building.

A very strong and hard-wearing wood, British Larch is an excellent and cost-effective alternative to oak. Its super-high resin content makes it twice as durable as common pine, ensuring exceptional longevity for your project.

Your boards arrive untreated, giving you the choice to either preserve their original colour with a Treatex sealant or let them age gracefully to a beautiful silvery-grey. Natural characteristics like knots and the occasional resin ooze are expected, which contribute to the timber's unique charm.

This cladding is for external use only. For best results and to minimize movement, we recommend installing the boards in the cooler months, between October and April, and within 7 to 14 days of delivery.

We offer the following section sizes with an 8mm recess:

142mm x 25mm - The overall width is 142mm, with the visible face measuring 134mm
140mm x 20mm - The overall width is 140mm, with the visible face measuring 132mm

Ready to fix and available in two options - First and Character Grade:

First Grade is sorted to include only the clearest (most knot free) boards with the straightest grain possible. A perfect choice for all modern and contemporary applications.
Character Grade will have a mixture of all top four grades, 1 through to 4 - some clear of knots and some straight grain, others with knots and some sloping grain. A perfect choice for all traditional/rustic applications, it gives a less uniformed look, without compromising its excellent durability properties.

End-Matching (Tongue and Groove) will allow you to place joints where they fall, instead of on the stud, allowing you to finish the job more quickly without sacrificing on quality and helps minimise wastage.

This profile is priced per square metre and comes in random lengths between 1200mm and 3600mm unless otherwise specified for an additional charge:

Set lengths up to 3500mm - £8.00 extra per square metre exc VAT
Set lengths above 3500mm - £12.00 extra per square metre exc VAT

This can be done by adding the Set lengths (Cladding) product to your basket (1 quantity = 1 square meter of cladding). You will need the same amount of cladding and set lengths in your basket to get the set lengths that you need so make sure to double check you have added the correct quantity.
