Our carefully machined British Larch Shadow Gap External Cladding is the perfect choice for a clean, linear appearance and impeccable weather protection. It offers a cost-effective alternative to our oak cladding and is available in both First Grade for a clean look and Character Grade for a more rustic feel.

For a beautiful, durable, and affordable finish, choose our British Larch Shadow Gap External Cladding. This carefully machined product provides a clean linear appearance with impeccable weather protection, making it an excellent alternative to oak.
British Larch is incredibly strong and hard-wearing, with a high resin content that makes it twice as durable as common pine.
Your boards will be supplied untreated. No treatments are required, however if you wish to preserve the supplied colour or use a weather resistant sealant, please take a look at our Treatex range. Should you wish to leave it to age gracefully, it will eventually turn to a beautiful silvery grey colour as the suns rays do their work.

The visible face size is 20mm less to account for the joint and the namesake shadow gap which measures at 16mm. Please note that the sizes are nominal and may vary slightly.
Ready to fix and available in two options - First and Character Grade:
First Grade is sorted to include only the clearest (most knot free) boards with the straightest grain possible. A perfect choice for all modern and contemporary applications.
Character Grade will have a mixture of all top four grades, 1 through to 4 - some clear of knots and some straight grain, others with knots and some sloping grain. A perfect choice for all traditional/rustic applications, it gives a less uniformed look, without compromising its excellent durability properties.
This profile is priced per square metre and comes in random lengths between 1200mm and 3600mm unless otherwise specified for an additional charge:

Here at UK Timber Ltd the grading rules for our cladding products have been kept as simple as possible. British Larch, Siberian Larch and Douglas fir have two grades, either First or Character in both fresh sawn and dried profiled cladding boards.
