Untreated English Larch - Douglas Fir Pyramid Top Newel
Newels are one of the main structural elements of any balustrade. These untreated softwood newels are made from English Larch/Douglas Fir, definitively regarded as the most hard wearing of all domestic softwoods - both are beautiful in appearance and incredibly resilient.
No treatments are required due to the high resin content of English Larch/Douglas Fir, however should you wish to preserve the beautiful pinky hue colour of the wood for that little while longer, then our Treatex Douglas Fir Protection is ideal.
