      White Painted Rebated Featheredge Cladding

Cut from Nordic Pine or Spruce, our White Painted Rebated Featheredge Cladding is ideal should you require a truly striking traditional barn like finish, as well as exceptional protection from the elements. Predominantly used for agricultural applications such as stables, barns and farmhouses, this profile is becoming increasingly popular for those that require sleek contemporary finishes to outbuildings and garages too.

This is the highest quality painted featheredge on the market and we are proud to be associated with the Estonian/French company, Puidukoda.

Teknos Paint Reference - RAL 9010

Our boards are cut on a diagonal from a 28mm board to produce two tapered boards that are overlapped when fitted, creating the featheredge finish. Unlike the traditional featheredge board profile, these boards are rebated to enable the featheredge to fix flat to the surface for easier fixing, as well as additional stability and increased protection from the elements.

Kiln-dried to an 18% moisture content, which is ideal for external cladding, increases the boards stability. Once cut, these boards are vacuum coated with a highly regarded primer, which when used in accordance with the appropriate standards, will provide long term protection against decay, insect and fungal attack.

The boards are then coated with a water and flexible acrylate based Teknos Paint to give you the dense white finish people find most desirable. The boards are given two coats of factory applied paint for eveness of coating to the outside and one coat to the inside - life expectancy is a minimum of 15 years but potentially significantly longer. The paint is highly flexible to avoid cracking when seasonal moisture changes occur.

Both the primer specification and the paint specification can be downloaded by clicking on the links above.

If required, these cladding boards can be treated with Water based Teknos fire retardant treatment to meet Euro class B, please request special profile and quote if required. Fire-retardant treated cladding is supplied with a fire treatment certificate and full factory production control. We are proud to be one of the few suppliers in the UK who can supply a fully audited treatment process as required by the Construction Products Regulation.

Available in the following section size:

      • 171mm x 20/6mm

If you require specific lengths, please contact our Sales Team on 01536 267107 who will be able to advise you of the lengths that we currently have available in stock.

These boards are priced per linear metre (£23.34 per square metre).

This cladding is suitable for both internal and external applications. Please remember to allow for at least an overlap of 35mm overlap on each board (50mm is best) when making your calculations. Using rebated featheredge horizontal boards for cladding, it is possible to reduce the overlap to 25mm but you should have 2mm gap to allow for possible expansion of the boards.

If your boards are exposed to varying weather conditions before fitting they are likely to cup, warp and split; the ideal time to fit cladding to keep this to a minimum is between the months of October and April and within 7 to 14 working days of delivery.

Still unsure? We offer up to two samples of our cladding boards for a £5 inc VAT postage charge. Should you wish to then purchase cladding boards that are the same product as your samples, we will reimburse you the £5 postage charge upon ordering!*
