Are you looking for a cladding solution that's both beautiful and affordable? Our Lightweight Oak Featheredge External Cladding provides the perfect answer. By machining the oak into a smaller 125mm x 15mm section, we can offer you the natural beauty and durability of oak at a much more accessible price than you'd find with other options.
Each board of our Lightweight Oak Featheredge Cladding is filled with natural character. Expect to see sound knots, color variations, and unique grain patterns, which all contribute to its rustic charm. As a natural product, the oak will also expand and contract with temperature changes, a behavior that is part of its classic, natural beauty.
Achieve a classic featheredge finish with our boards. Cut on the diagonal, each board is tapered to be overlapped during fitting, providing the traditional look of roof tiles.
Your boards will be supplied untreated. No treatments are required, however if you wish to preserve the supplied colour for that little while longer or use a weather resistant sealant, please take a look at our Treatex range. Should you wish to leave it to age gracefully, it will eventually turn to a silver grey colour as the suns rays do their work.
This cladding is for external use. Please remember to make allowances for at least a 35mm overlap on each board (50mm is best) when making your calculations. If your boards are exposed to varying weather conditions before fitting, they are likely to cup, warp and split; the ideal time to fit cladding to keep this to a minimum is between the months of October and April and within 7 to 14 days of delivery.
