These machined boards with horizontal tongue and groove design have chamfered tops and bottoms. They are ideal for door production or any project where both sides of the board will be exposed. For correct installation, the tongue should be positioned at the top.

Attain a classic tongue and groove appearance with our adaptable English Ash Wood Tongue and Groove Cladding. Featuring a light, rustic finish, these boards are ideal for any project. The chamfered edges produce a delicate 'V' shadow line, and they can be installed either horizontally or vertically. When opting for horizontal installations, be sure to position the tongue at the top to facilitate proper moisture drainage.
Embrace the unique, rustic charm of our sawn ash wood. Each board tells a story with its varying knots, colour variations, and natural fissures. The wood will also adjust to changing temperatures by expanding and contracting, which only enhances its natural character.
These boards are supplied untreated, giving you the choice to embrace the natural aging process. If left alone, the timber will gracefully fade to a beautiful silvery-grey with a creamy undertone. Alternatively, you can preserve its initial colour by using a weather-resistant sealant from our Treatex range.
Ready to fix and available in two options - First and Character Grade:
First Grade is sorted to include only the clearest (most knot free) boards with the straightest grain possible. A perfect choice for all modern and contemporary applications.
Character Grade will have a mixture of all top four grades, 1 through to 4 - some clear of knots and some straight grain, others with knots and some sloping grain. A perfect choice for all traditional/rustic applications, it gives a less uniformed look, without compromising its excellent durability properties.
