Description

With stylish new doors, you won't want tired old linings to stand out like a sore thumb. Choosing solid Douglas Fir door casings can help enhance the look of any doorway, especially when complete with Douglas Fir architraves and skirting boards. We have introduced these solid Douglas Fir door casing sets with a rebate for an integrated door stop, that boasts the same beautiful Douglas Fir grain finish as our doors, thus making it possible to give your linings and doors a matching finish.

The door casing sets are suitable for wall cavity or stud wall depths of 95 to 220 mm, and the single door set is suitable for a door opening of up to 2100mm high and 1000mm wide, and the double door lining set up to 2100mm high and 2100mm wide. Each kit is a single solid piece with a 35mm wide and 12mm deep rebate, and are flexible enough to be used with many different depths of door up to 35mm.

Please select your chosen width in the dropdown box, widths over 138mm will be laminated from 2 or 3 pieces of Douglas Fir to achieve the required stability.

The lining sets are supplied unfinished to provide you with the opportunity to add a personal touch and stain it to your preference. It is recommended to oil solid Douglas Fir to enhance their overall appearance but also to give them a layer of protection against moisture absorption, spillages and scratches. Our recommendation for a natural, clear finish would be to use Treatex Hardwax Oil.
