These bags of Kiln Dried Ash Hardwood Firewood logs are one of our most popular fuel products here at UK Timber as not only are they excellent value for money, but the convenient bags allow for ease of storage combined with the exceptional burning quality of these logs makes this one of our best selling firewood options.
Ash is renowned as the king of firewood. It burns evenly and for a long time with very little ash. Even though our kiln-dried logs are all below 20%, it is possible to burn ash even when freshly sawn. That particular quality has elevated ash logs to become firewood royalty.
Our large bulk bags measure 85x85x85cm and weigh approximately 300kg.
Kiln dried to a low moisture content, to below 20% moisture content, these logs offer a consistent high heat output due to lack of internal moisture. Consisting of Ash, these logs are widely regarded as some of the best kiln-dried logs available. With a lower moisture content than alternative seasoned firewood, these kiln-dried logs offer exceptional heat and a long burn time, that simply can not be compared to other firewood options and is easily the longest-lasting firewood option.
To encourage airflow around your logs, we recommend that you store them in the crate, a raised log store, or on a pallet to keep your logs away from moist ground. We do not recommend stacking them up against a wall or placing them on grass, as air won't be able to flow and the logs can become damp.
