Our thermally treated timber offers a durable and chemical-free solution for your projects. The unique thermal treatment process modifies the wood's structure, protecting it from rot, insects, and weathering for decades.

This process gives our Scandinavian redwood a lovely light chocolate-brown color. You can preserve this color with a clear coating, or let it naturally weather to a beautiful silver-gray. Internally, the color will not fade.

This is a highly durable and low-environmental-impact alternative to traditional softwoods like Siberian Larch and Western Red Cedar.

If the colour is protected by a clear coating for external use then the colour will remain the same but if left alone it will change to a lovely silver grey over time. Internally the colour will not fade for many years and will require no treatment to retain it's original brown hue.

Our Redwood Thermowood will have sound knots, among other natural characteristics and is machined on site to our usual high standards to several of our standard profiles.

This is a highly durable material that is effectively a drop in replacement for traditionally longer lasting softwoods such as Siberian larch and Canadian Western red cedar with far lower environmental impact.
